Advanced engineering payloads optimized for high-wind environments, coastal protection, and critical defense infrastructures in Greece and the Aegean region.
A comprehensive examination of positioning technology performance requirements in high-salinity, complex topography, and critical infrastructure environments.
Greece presents a unique operating landscape for surveillance systems and Pan-Tilt Units (PTUs). With over 13,000 kilometers of coastline, hundreds of islands, and critical maritime shipping lanes running through the Aegean and Ionian Seas, the Hellenic Republic requires robust security frameworks. Systems deployed at vital facilities, such as the Piraeus Port Authority, naval bases, and border outposts along the Evros River, demand precise, zero-backlash electro-optical pointing mechanisms. These systems must resist high salt-mist environments and sustained wind gusts of up to 9 Beaufort.
Moreover, the expansion of solar and wind installations across Greek mountainous regions has created a need for advanced PTUs and high-payload accessories. Wind farms require optical monitoring to safeguard structures and monitor wildlife movements, particularly birds of prey. The tripods, brackets, and protective enclosures must be engineered to withstand these specific local challenges.
Worldwide, the market for electro-optical infrared (EO/IR) sensor platforms is moving toward heavier payloads, including long-range thermal cameras, radar integration, and laser designators. These setups require highly stable structural mounts. As global defence and security parameters shift, system integrators look for manufacturers that can supply customized brackets, heavy-duty tripods, and high-speed controllers that meet strict ISO and military standards.
Key global demands focus on modularity, ease of field maintenance, and structural resilience. The reliance on standardized interfaces, such as Pelco-D/P protocols, RS485/422 communications, and Ethernet control interfaces, ensures that PTU accessories can integrate into existing Command and Control (C2) software setups globally.
How state-of-the-art production clusters and structural validation processes ensure reliable global supply chains.
Our manufacturing facility in Tianjin leverages advanced industrial infrastructure to deliver high-quality components efficiently. Controlling the entire production cycle—from raw metal casting and precision CNC milling to surface treatment and final assembly—allows us to maintain consistent quality and offer flexible customization. Our specialized factory setups produce custom camera enclosures and high-load tripods that balance cost-performance and technical precision.
By using multi-axis CNC machines, we achieve tolerances within microns. This precision is vital for the gears, worm drives, and bearing mounts used in heavy-duty pan-tilt platforms. System components feature dual-shaft bearings and anti-backlash designs, ensuring reliable tracking performance even over long distances.
Pioneering the Development of High-Precision Pan-Tilt Technology and Surveillance Equipment Since 2005
Established in 2005, Blue Icon (Tianjin) Technology Co. Ltd, a national high-tech company, specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and sales of high-quality CCTV surveillance equipment. Our product range includes pan-tilt heads/positioners, long-range laser PTZ cameras, IR thermal imaging PTZ cameras, dual-vision PTZ cameras, camera housing enclosures, camera mounting brackets, and accessories.
Detailed design specifications of our core pan-tilt systems engineered for stable deployment in demanding conditions.
BIT-PT510 is a compact pan-tilt unit with a top load capacity of 10kg/22lb, featuring a high-precision stepper motor and worm/gear drive. The unit offers 360° pan rotation and ±60° tilt rotation with speeds up to 30°/S. It is designed to carry camera housings, spotlights, and loudspeakers for applications including video surveillance, border and coastal defense, and forest fire prevention.
The BIT-PT503 is our smallest pan-tilt unit, weighing 3.5kg. It supports devices up to 3.5kg/7.7lb, making it ideal for applications that require a compact footprint and lightweight installation.
The BIT-PT410 can rotate at a top speed of 100°/second, enabling fast positioning and tracking. Featuring a worm/gear drive in the tilt axis, it supports a 10kg/22lb payload with a tilt rotation angle of -90° to +40°.
The BIT-PT850 is a 50kg top-load pan-tilt unit. Designed for durability and low maintenance, it is widely used in harsh operating environments.
How precision mounting hardware and pan-tilt units are integrated into critical Greek national infrastructures.
Deploying dual-vision thermal and optical cameras along island cliffs requires durable mounts. Our custom stainless steel pole-mount brackets and heavy-duty tripods are designed to withstand high winds and salt corrosion, keeping sensors stabilized during critical tracking operations.
Wind turbine installations in mountainous regions use pan-tilt units for structural monitoring and environmental assessment. Our worm-gear driven positioners operate reliably under continuous vibrations, supporting heavy payloads in high-altitude conditions.
Monitoring active ports requires continuous scanning. The combination of our RS485 controller keyboards and heavy-duty pan-rotators helps security teams manage complex camera networks and track vessels entering port zones.
Backed by 50 national patents and continuous investment in product testing and quality validation.

We invest 10% of our annual sales revenue into research and development. This sustained focus has earned us 50 national patents, helping us refine our products for demanding environments. From material selection to design optimization, our engineering team ensures that every bracket, tripod, and camera housing provides dependable long-term performance.

Our products support surveillance and positioning systems in over 50 countries across five continents.
Complete selection of precision camera housings, brackets, rotators, and tripods built to withstand challenging marine and industrial environments.
Essential technical information and application engineering details for system integrators, procurement managers, and technical specialists in Greece.
For coastal installations within 5 kilometers of the sea (such as in Piraeus, Patras, or the Aegean islands), we recommend AISI 316L (EN 1.4404) stainless steel or high-grade anodized aluminum (6061-T6) coated with marine-grade powder paint. These materials offer high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion caused by salt mist and high humidity.
Our heavy-duty tripods (supporting payloads from 40kg to 200kg) feature dual-locking metal mechanisms, wide leg stances, and reinforced bracing systems. This structural design helps minimize torsional flexing and high-frequency vibrations under wind loads up to 100 km/h, which is crucial for maintaining clear thermal and optical video feeds at long distances.
Yes. Our systems natively support Pelco-D and Pelco-P telemetry protocols via RS485 and RS422 connections. Many models also support network IP-based controls (Onvif profile S/T) and custom serial commands. This compatibility simplifies integration into existing security networks and command centers.
Yes, we provide full OEM and ODM services. We can customize mounting interfaces, dimensions, cable pass-throughs, and internal layouts. Whether you are installing dual-lens long-range thermal cameras, laser rangefinders, or specialized radar units, we can customize brackets and housings to meet your exact payload requirements.
Standard products typically ship within 2 to 3 weeks. For custom mounting plates, specialized paint finishes (such as desert sand or naval grey), or structural modifications, the engineering design and manufacturing process generally takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on order volume and configuration complexity.
