Load capacity is defined by two primary parameters: maximum static payload and dynamic torque. Static payload represents the physical weight the pan-tilt mechanical frame can support without causing deformation to the bearings or gears. Dynamic torque, however, is the power required to drive the load at specified speeds under environmental stress, such as strong winds. When selecting a unit, evaluate both payload weight and the physical dimensions of the camera housing to account for wind drag.
Worm-gear drive systems provide high gear ratios in a compact footprint, translating to significant holding torque. A key feature is self-locking capabilities: when the power is turned off, the worm gear resists movement from external forces, keeping the payload steady in strong winds without requiring power-consuming brakes. They also reduce backlash, enhancing accuracy during high-magnification optical zoom tracking.
To enable 360° continuous pan rotation, we integrate internal slip rings. Slip rings use conductive rotary joints to pass power, ethernet, serial data, and video signals across the rotating axis, preventing cables from twisting and allowing for continuous pan rotation.

They feature anti-corrosion finishes, stainless steel hardware, internal heaters, defrosters, and sunshields to support reliable operation in temperatures from -40°C to +65°C.
